English and French

The language switch, the language of each subject, and locking the app in French.

The FR and EN switch at the top of the app changes the screens between French and English. On a phone, it is a single button: tap it to swap languages. Lessons have their own switch, so a child can hear an explanation in the other language without changing the whole app.

The language of each subject

Subjects follow the school program and grade (see Add and manage children). To choose yourself, open the child's page, Settings, Content language by subject. Bilingual shows both languages and gives a bonus for answering in French.

Lock the app in French

For immersion practice, turn on Lock the interface in French in the child's settings. Your child then needs the Parent Code to switch to English. The code only allows that one change: it does not open the Parent Area.
