Lou's voice
Voice packs
Lou's lines are recorded in Canadian French and English, so young readers can play on their own. The recordings come in packs, one for each grade, subject and screen language. Each device keeps only the packs your children use now; anything not in a pack is read by the device's own voice.
Download them
- Open the Parent Area, Family settings, Lou's voice.
- Check the size, then tap Download now. Two grades take about 900 MB.
- With Download over Wi-Fi only on, the packs wait for Wi-Fi.
When a child changes grade or language, the new packs download and the ones nobody needs are removed by themselves.
If it does not work
- "Lou's voice is getting ready on this device. Leave the app open on Wi-Fi for a few minutes, then come back here."
- Downloads only start while the app is open on the screen. Keep it open on Wi-Fi for a few minutes, or leave it and come back.
- On iPhone and iPad, voice packs need iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. On older versions the device's own voice reads.
